Josie Maran Magic Marker Lip and Cheek Stain

This lip stain is so beautifully bold and vibrant! The application of the color is amazing and the felt tip applicator is soft and non drying. I have read other reviews that claim that their applicator dried out. This is a common complaint with felt tip marker products. It absorbs like sponge on the inside, but the actual tip's fibers are so tight that if damaged or exposed to too much air, none of the product comes through. so make sure not to jam the tip or leave it uncapped too long. As a product, this lip stain has very typical "lip stain behavior," in that it does feel a little dry on the lips, but has great staying power. What sets this apart from other lip stains is that it is highly pigmented. A little bit goes a long way and adding a little lip balm on top solves your drying problem. It comes in a lot of colors, so you will definitely find one for you. I'm not sold on using it as a cheek stain. It's not quite creamy enough to blend and perhaps too pigmented for that, but it is worth a try. Special thanks to the beautiful Bea for providing the photo above.
